Nieuwe CD’s à volonté !

Flip Kowlier - De man van 31Morgen begint de weerkundige herfst. Hoog tijd dus om de muzikale oogst binnen te halen! Omdat ik toch geen leven heb en de tv me geen kloten interesseert, heb ik me gisteravond onledig gehouden met het selecteren van de te verwachten belangrijkste nieuwe cd releases de komende weken en maanden. En zoals je hieronder kunt zien, belooft het een mooie muzikale herfst te worden in de platenwinkel. Een muzikale herfst die trouwens zeer sfeervol op gang getrokken werd door ‘de man van 31’ Flip Kowlier met zijn beste cd tot nog toe. Toch is het opvallend dat de herfst cd-stroom dit jaar wat trager op gang komt dan bijvoorbeeld vorig jaar, toen ‘Modern times’ van Bob Dylan omstreeks deze tijd al in de winkels lag. Zelfs het leed dat met het begin van het nieuwe schooljaar gepaard gaat, wordt dit jaar niet verzacht met een nieuwe K3! Niet getreurd echter: met de release van ‘Kusjes’ rond 22 oktober mikt Studio 100 dit jaar duidelijk op de eindejaarsverkoop. Maar oktober wordt in het algemeen cruciaal voor het boekjaar van de plaatselijke platenboer. Fixkes brengen dan eindelijk hun langverwachte langspeeldebuut uit en het valt nog maar af te wachten of het album kan voortbreien op het succes van single ‘Kvraagetaan’. Blijft het bij deze ééndagsvlieg of wordt ook het album een commerciële voltreffer? Ik gok op het tweede, en méér zelfs: ‘Fixkes’ wordt dé verkoopstopper deze herfst! En mocht het album van Fixkes toch een flop worden, zijn er nog altijd de andere Belgische releases van Laïs, Sarah Bettens, De Mens, Zap Mama, Woodface en Sweet Coffee om die eventuele commerciële aderlating op te vangen. Ook van Stash en Arid wordt in oktober nieuw plaatwerk verwacht, maar daarvan werd alsnog geen datum voorop gesteld, waardoor ze niet in onderstaande lijst vermeld staan. Verder zouden ook internationale kanonnen als Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young en John Fogerty met hun nieuwe cd’s in oktober voor een stijgende verkoopscurve in de boekhouding van de platenboer moeten zorgen. Uiteraard is onderstaande lijst verre van compleet en de komende weken zullen er nog heel wat nieuwe releases bijkomen, maar het geeft toch al een duidelijk beeld van wat we zoal mogen verwachten komende herfst. Het zullen dus vooral weer veel bookes met confituur worden in plaats van een dure fillet pûr op mijn bord als ik zie hoeveel platen ik in vet gemarkeerd heb. De boekhouder van Eddy’s Records – Ninoofsesteenweg 12 te Halle – wrijft zich nu al in de handen!
